Caveman Lifestyle Intervention Program
The program consists of different phases that we cycle in and out of, over a 3 - 6 month period. As always, the goal is to get our bodies back to a healthy primal state. Cycling in and out of feasting and famine periods are nothing new to your body. You were designed for this long ago and your nearly perfectly designed body still operates optimally as a hunter or gatherer.
Our bodies are all very different and there is no "one size fits all" recipe that will result in ultimate weight loss/wellness. The program will therefore be designed very carefully with you and will be adapted weekly to make sure you are comfortable and achieve optimal results from this approach...
The 3 phases:
- Gut healing phase - This phase will start healing your gut lining, increase beneficial bacteria & enzymes, heal your liver and balance your hormones!
- Ketogenic phase - You will start burning fat reserves for energy instead of sugar, resulting in a metabolically flexible system.You will also increase your *mitochondrial health. (*the tiny engines in your cells that fire 24/7)
- Intermittent fasting into full fasting phase - Once you are fat adapted we can incorporate time restricted eating on a daily basis. The health benefits are endless but the most obvious one will be fat loss!
